GRN (Goods Received Note)

GRN (Goods Received Note)

Document confirming receipt of goods from a supplier.

Document confirming receipt of goods from a supplier.

A GRN (Goods Received Note) is generated when a shipment arrives and acts as formal proof that goods were received in full or in part. It includes item descriptions, quantities, delivery dates, and PO references. For example, if a PO calls for 100 units but only 95 arrive, the GRN reflects the shortfall and alerts purchasing to investigate.
